Friendship, sportsmanship & horsemanship

From the shaggiest Shetland to the sleekest show jumper, and all the ponies in between, there is something for everyone at our pony club. The Garth Hunt is a small, and friendly, pony club based in central Berkshire, forming part of Pony Club Area 13. It is one of the longest running Pony Clubs in the UK, starting way back in 1930. We strive to provide the best possible training for all members, from complete beginners to advanced riders. We believe that regular, effective rallies and training will produce safe, happy and competitive riders, across all disciplines and including all abilities. This is our belief and one that has remained since the Pony Club began in 1930.

Garth Hunt has members of all ages and capabilities.  Since the start of the year  we have held a huge amount of rallies, from fun picnic rides to expert tuition in specific disciplines.  We have a competitive senior membership who represented the Garth Hunt at many high profile events including Royal Windsor, POYS, HOYS and SCOPE.

Garth Hunt aims to provide a friendly, supportive community for both children and parents, in which they can both learn and thrive. No one child is more important than another, whether their aim is to represent GB or just have a pony that they want to hack and love, we will support them in their riding journey.

The committee is made up of VERY friendly pony club mums and dads. Please click here for the full list of who's who, and we are delighted to answer any questions or enquiries.
