GARTH HUNT TROPHIES AND AWARDS

Every year we hold an AGM/Prize giving event for our Garth Hunt members. Our treasurer gives an update on the financial position of the branch and we invite all our members and families to celebrate their success over the year whether this has been for competitions or taking part in branch activities.

Nominations and award winners for representing Garth Hunt at competitions

Garth Hunt has fifteen trophies to award for members who compete for the branch at local, area and national championship competitions. These are broken down by age and level of competition. Criteria for nominations is based on representing Garth Hunt at competition level either individually or as part of a team. The best performance and highest placement/s at competition and level of competition is taken into account when deciding the winner of these trophies.

Nominations and award winners for achievement within the branch for progress and perseverance

There are over twenty trophies to award to members of all ages and levels for progress and perseverance, amongst others that can be achieved whilst taking part in branch rallies (mounted and unmounted) and summer camp. The nominations are based on progression of the members riding ability in any/all disciplines. Pony care, stable management, unmounted knowledge can also be taken into consideration. Demonstrating resilience e.g. working with a challenging/new pony, overcoming nerves/never giving up/ striving to improve etc over the year can form part of the selection process.  Instructors also give feedback on members progress or perseverance.

Nominations and awards for specialist trophies

Garth Hunt have many other trophies which cover areas like Tack & Turnout, Team of the Year (based on competition success) parent helper, most cheeky pony to name but a few. Each of these nominations and winners are awarded on merit covering the various required criteria.

We hope you join us in celebrating the 2023 season at our AGM/Prize giving evening in February2024
