CAMP DATES 2023 - 4-8th August
WELLINGTON

Residential camp bookings will open next monday (6th Feb) at 7pm, with residential booking on first. Residential is for members aged 12 years old and over only.
Day camp deposits will open the following day (7th Feb) at 7pm, this is for the 2, 3, and 5 day camps. You will be asked to indicate your preference on the booking form but we will place people in camps/rides, taking, as far as we can, your preference into consideration. Bookings are made through webcollect

Please do not book on unless you are able to make all 5 days, we will not hold places for those wanting to arrive late due to holidays/competitions.

We have done our best to open a few more spaces in camp this year, but we have to be realistic as to how much the committee, as volunteers, can manage. We hope this format works well, and that we can fit everyone in, but please join the wait list if you do not get a space intially.

The DAY camp will be split into;

5 day - Members must be 8yo & over. Capable of largely independently caring for themselves and their pony.

3 Day - Members will be supported by volunteers with stable management & on rides, but off lead rein. Parents to help with morning muck out

2 Day camp - Parents to attend and assist, suitable for those on, or recently off lead rein. Min age 5 yo on 1st Jan.

All members MUST have completed their three rallies on the pony they intend to bring BEFORE final payment on 1st July, otherwise they will forfeit their place at camp to those on waiting list.

The committee reserve the right to refuse any horse/pony they consider unsuitable for camp. Horses/ponies must be 5 or over and stallions are not allowed

About camp

We are thrilled to be returning to Wellington Riding Centre this summer. Set in 300 acres of parkland we will have exclusive use of both indoor and outdoor areas, the canter track and fabulous hacking. We also have access to their fantastic clubhouse, showers and facilities.

Camp will be divided into the following sections, we have subsidised them in part to keep the prices as low as possible.

Ponies/horses stay and so do members!  Members will be provided with three meals a day with a cooked supper in the evening.  Riders will be grouped according to ability, and must be over 12 years of age, capable of riding and magaing their stable independently. Riders will need to provide or share sleeping accommodation (Horsebox or tent). Max group in accomodation is 4 people please!
