CAMP 2021 - WELLINGTON

Dates: 2 - 6th August

CAMP 2020 was a huge success - enormous thanks to everyone who put in so much hard work to get it up and running this year. We had nearly 50 children, plus ponies over the five days and an incredible time of tuition, fun & friendships!

We are thrilled to be announce that we will returning to Wellington Riding Centre this summer. Set in 300 acres of parkland we will have exclusive use of several indoor and outdoor areas, and access to their fantastic clubhouse, showers and facilities.

Camp will be divided into the following sections and we have subsidised them to keep the prices as low as possible.

Advanced Rider Training camp - £ Mon/TuesWeds

Manager - Anne-Marie Peries
This is aimed at our older, more competitive riders competing at 1.05m and above as a minimum requirement. It will be 3 days intensive training with discipline specific experts, giving them access to incredible teaching at subsidised rates.  Members  lunch is included.

Day - £ 330  Monday - Friday

Manager -
Ponies/horses stay and will be looked after for you through the night but members go home in the evenings. Members lunch is included. (aimed at those not quite ready to stay away from home!) Riders will be grouped according to ability, and must be confident off the lead rein at all times.

Lead Rein - £200 weds/thurs/friday

Manager -

This will be a shorter camp for our members who require leading so they can join in. Ponies stay and will be looked after for you through the night but members will go home in the evenings. Members lunch is included. Parent must stay and lead.

In order to secure your place please pay your deposit through webcollect  when it is published!

Tuition

We have a packed programme, campers will benefit from fabulous tuition, from our expert instructors, and as we have use of indoor schools, lessons will not be affected by weather.

There is extensive facilities at Wellington, and wonderful opportunities for hacking through the parkland and woods. (Hide & seek the Peach might be trickier this year!)

We also have use of a classroom and a marquee for unmounted activities.

Rides will be organised according to ability, and friendship groups will be taken into account.

Fun

We are planning several evening demonstrations and events, from international dressage and bareback showjumping displays, our camp BBQ, and plenty of fun and games. It is a great opportunity for your child to have a wonderful time with their best friends, equine and human!

Accommodation

The ponies/horses stay in temporary stables, and members who are aged 12 years and over can stay for the duration of camp either in horseboxes, trailers, tents or caravans (to be provided by parents). Wellington has a gorgeous clubhouse we are able to use, with purpose built showers and toilets. All meals are provided for residential campers including some cooked breakfasts and lunches, and a hot evening meal. Day campers will have lunch at camp which is also included in the price.

Our younger members can attend as Day campers returning home each evening to sleep!
