  • Membership is open to everyone up to the age of 21, existing Members may continue until the age of 25.

  • The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for those interested in ponies and riding. It is the largest association of riders in the world.

  • In the UK, The Pony Club has 345 Branches, with 33,000 Members.

  • The Pony Club encourages young people to ride and learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding.

  • There are regular competitions for eventing, show jumping, dressage, tetrathlon, mounted games, polocrosse, polo, pony racing and endurance.

  • The Pony Club aims to give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to look after and take proper care of their animals.

  • The Pony Club promotes the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline.

  • Members of The Pony Club are covered by Third Party Public Liability Insurance (More info below)

As one of the country’s largest youth charities, The Pony Club is dependent upon the generosity of our volunteers and benefactors for the smooth running of its activities. We welcome new volunteers with open arms!


Parents play an extremely important role in the Pony Club and we hope you will enjoy it as much your children. Please click on the lin for a lot more information about the role of parents within the pony club 

We are happy to welcome members from any age (if they can sit on a pony they can join!) upto 25 years old. 

The Annual Subscription is £85 per member.

The Family subscription, where there are more than two pony club members in one family is charged at £210 regardless of the number of children.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS (those with less than 3 riding members in the same household).

  • If you do not have a "family membership" (usually 3 or more riding members in the same household) then you will receive 2 emails with details of how to renew via the new online portal. 

    • The first contains the renewal reminder and membership details.  

    • The second contains a custom link to the portal.  When you click this link you will be asked to enter a password. 

    • This is a new online portal so create a new password.  

    • You will then be asked to login with your username (the email address to which the renewal reminder was sent) and your newly created password.

  • Reminders will normally be sent one month prior to renewal date, and then 2 weeks before if not renewed.  A follow up reminder will also be sent once membership has expired.

  • Using the online portal, you will be able to check and update any contact details, add members and pay online.

  • You will not be able to change the branch or membership type (Riding or Non-riding) – if you need to do this please contact your branch to initiate the transfer process or contact membership@pcuk.org to change your membership type.

  • Memberships will be for a 12-month period from the date of expiry

    • If you renew in December and your membership expires on 31 January 2021 then your new membership will run until 31 January 2022.

    • If you renew/join in June your membership will last for 12 months from the date of renewal/joining.



If you have a family membership, or want to add members to create a family membership, you will need to download the membership form either from your branch website or https://pcuk.org/find-a-club/ complete the form and email to membership@pcuk.org OR by post to the address on the form

Joining process

If this is your first visit to the site you will need to apply for Garth Hunt membership through the main PCUK website (link below). Please call Hannah Yelloly (Membership secretary) on 07921541361 so she can talk you through the forms and process.  


All new memberships must be made through the main P.C.U.K. site, please fill in the form and email or post back to membership@pcuk.org



Booking rallies/events

We use a program called Webcollect  for all our rallies & event bookings, new members will need to set up an account. You will only be able to book members only events after your account has been authorised & direct debit set up (this takes a few days).
